The following terms apply to all services provided by ZAO Photography.
Punctuality
Shoots and event coverage will begin at the times agreed. Clients should ensure they are prepared to begin for this time. Clients who arrive later than 20 minutes after the start time will be charged at the hourly rate originally quoted. Lateness will result in an extension of the delivery date. Equipment set up is included in the duration of all shoots and events. Where ZAO Photography staff arrive up to 20 minutes after the start time, the lost time will be added unto the end of the shoot if required. If ZAO Photography staff arrive later than 20 minutes after the start time, a partial refund will be offered for the time lost. Alternatively, another compromise could be reached i.e., delivery of extra edited photos at no extra cost. ZAO Photography is not liable for any unforeseen delays beyond their control (such as travel or weather conditions).
Clients can extend their shoot duration provided ZAO Photography has availability to do so. This will be charged at the hourly rate at the time of extension, in addition to the cost of other factors i.e., studio or travel costs.
Deposits + Refunds
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking at least 2 weeks before the shoot. For large bookings and weddings the deposit is required at least 4 weeks prior. Deposits will be deducted from your final balance. The balance will be due on the day of the final shoot or event. No photos or videos will be released until the final payment is received.
Rescheduling + Cancellations
There may be a charge to reschedule bookings that require extensive travel or location bookings. Deposits will not be refunded upon cancellation.
Delivery
Delivery dates will usually be communicated with the client via the booking summary.
If the client requires photos and videos to be delivered by a certain date, they are advised to complete their booking with enough time. No photos or videos will be released within 48 hours of the shoot or event (unless specifically requested for and agreed upon prior). Unedited/raw files will not be provided to the client in any circumstance. The client may request for extra edited photos at an additional cost. This may result in an extension of the delivery date.
Professional Relationship
Everyone working on behalf of ZAO Photography is committed to maintaining a professional, respectful and collaborative working relationship with the clients. Clients working with ZAO Photography on all projects agree to communicate respectfully and courteously at all times. Harassment, discrimination, aggressive behaviour, or inappropriate language toward ZAO Photography team members will not be tolerated. If it is perceived that clients are going against this, the booking will be terminated immediately (and for any paid projects, a refund will not be made). In extreme cases, legal action may be taken to settle the dispute.
Rights and Usage
ZAO Photography will collect and store the client’s personal data (e.g. names, contact details, photos and videos) for service provision purposes. ZAO Photography will take reasonable steps to ensure these details remain secure throughout the transaction.
ZAO Photography retains full rights to all photos and videos produced by those working on behalf of ZAO Photography and using ZAO Photography equipment. ZAO Photography shares these rights with the client once the full payment has been received and a positive working relationship has been maintained. ZAO Photography may use photos and videos to showcase their work on their website and social media. The client reserves the right to choose which photos and videos they are happy to share to ZAO Photography’s pages. Where there is no objection, consent will be assumed and photos and videos will be used for the above purposes.
